Uniogen showcased innovation and collaboration at MEDICA 2023

Uniogen had a significant presence at MEDICA 2023, one of the largest medical and healthcare technology trade fairs globally. “Medica is an important annual venue for Uniogen” said Tapani Elovirta, Commercial Director of Uniogen. “This year, after the pandemic, the fair was busy with 83000 participants and over 5300 exhibitors from 166 countries, with full schedules for our MEDICA team. Uniogen team had lots of pre-scheduled meetings with existing business partners as well as meetings with new potential customers and business partners from all over the world.”

We were excited to see the visitors interested in immunological point of care testing, particularly in measuring things more accurately with unforeseen sensitivity at point-of-care compared to traditional methods, for example. We are really into this area enabled by our innovative Upcon® technology. The concept for a cancer diagnostic test under development caught the interest of many, highlighting its potential in improving early cancer detection and respective impact on patient care.

Uniogen wants to set new standards in the medical diagnostics field in the long term. “We are at the front of diagnostic breakthroughs, and we know we have big responsibilities. Our time at MEDICA was about more than business; it was about making the future of testing better,” added Elovirta.
