Governance
Uniogen supports the Sustainable Development Goals
UNIOGEN MANAGEMENT TEAM AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our international board comprises seasoned professionals with diverse expertise in the diagnostics and medical technology industries and ethical business practices, ensuring a comprehensive governance approach. The diversity fosters a holistic approach to decision-making, providing that all aspects of our operations are approached with the highest ethical standards.
At Uniogen, we prioritize good governance as the cornerstone of operations.
The largest shareholders include personnel and the founders of the companies preceding the merger into Uniogen.
TRANSPARENCY AND REPORTING
The owners, financiers, and stakeholders expect the company to grow and manage risks, act in compliance with the laws and regulations, have an equal working culture, and invest in training and development.
The IVD industry regulations and electronic and chemical regulations guide our operations. We are expected to monitor regulatory changes and acknowledge these changes in our operations.
We believe in the power of transparency to build trust and accountability, both in internal and external stakeholder communications. We aim to ensure our employees are informed and educated about company initiatives and practices. We conduct continuous internal training regarding IVDR (In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation) policies and IPRs (Intellectual Property Rights), to name a few. We also regularly have sessions for updating the company’s ESG efforts with all the employees.
In cases of concerns and grievances, our personnel are always encouraged to discuss them with our HR professionals at a low threshold.
COMPLIANCE PROGRAM
We adhere to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) principles, ensuring strict data security measures to protect confidential, proprietary, and personal data. Our business operations are transparent and standardized in accordance with the third-party audited quality management system we adhere to as part of our ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certifications. The quality management system ensures that our operations follow standard operating procedures and undergo regular external audits. The dedicated quality assurance professionals are responsible for company-wide quality and regulatory affairs.
Part of our life science instrument operations are TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein) certified, underscoring our commitment to superior quality, safety, and compliance. TÜV audits are held twice a year on-site.
We have started to prepare for ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative)-compliant sustainability reporting. Reporting frameworks will help us develop and better identify our impact, opportunities, and risks.
RISK MANAGEMENT
We have crafted a comprehensive Code of Conduct to fortify risk and reputation management, emphasizing our commitment to anti-corruption and anti-bribery principles. Please read more about the Uniogen Code of Conduct.
We maintain a proactive stance on identifying and managing risks associated with our business, particularly those that could have implications for sustainability. This includes rigorous monitoring of our supply chains, investment in secure data systems, and comprehensive emergency response strategies.
