Insights from UPCON 2024, analytica, and ESCMID Global
April was an exciting month for Uniogen, filled with significant participation at three major global congresses that align closely with our mission and expertise. We are thrilled to share key insights and developments from these events, reinforcing our commitment to innovation and collaboration in the fields of clinical diagnostics and materials science.
Exploring new frontiers at UPCON 2024 in Montreal
First, we were present at UPCON 2024, held in Montreal, Canada in the second week of April. The congress showcased a diverse array of scientific topics with a unifying focus on upconversion technology – a field of keen interest to Uniogen, especially in in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) applications.
The congress featured presentations on cutting-edge topics such as nanothermometry, photon avalanching nanoparticles, machine-learning-guided approaches to tune UCNP (upconverting nanoparticle) nanostructures, and solar cell applications. These discussions not only broadened our understanding but also facilitated the creation of new contacts and the initiation of strategic discussions on potential collaborations.
An overview of the industry at analytica
Then on the same week, Uniogen had attendance also at analytica in Munich, Germany. Analytica is a biannual world’s leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis, biotechnology and analytica conference.
The event proved to be invaluable in deepening our understanding of the competitive landscape, particularly regarding plate readers. We returned home with an insight into different products and their marketing strategies. The visit enhanced our understanding of market dynamics and the competitive forces at play, which strengthened our strategic positioning in the industry.
Building connections and anticipating industry evolution at ESCMID Global
Lastly, at the end of the month, Uniogen was represented at the ESCMID Global (previously known as ECCMID) Congress. This event, with its over 16,000 participants, is a cornerstone for experts in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases.
At ESCMID Global, we met with many distributors, partners, and possible new partners. The mood was full of anticipation, showing that major changes are coming in the next few years in the diagnostics industry. Our talks emphasized how crucial it is to work together and have strong partnerships during these changes. We are very happy with the progress and the start of new conversations that could improve what we offer in the diagnostics area.
Looking ahead
The insights gained from ESCMID Global, analytica and UPCON 2024 are invaluable as we navigate the evolving landscapes of our industries. These platforms have not only enhanced our knowledge and network but also affirmed our strategic direction towards embracing innovative solutions and fostering robust partnerships.
We look forward to leveraging these opportunities to better serve our customers and partners. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in our field.
